Now more than ever, we need small daily actionable routines to help manage unusually high levels of excessive stress, anxiety, and fear. Since there is no definite cure for COVID-19 or any other virus, our body’s own immune system is the primary and best defense that we have. Optimizing your immune system can decrease your risk of getting the virus and place you in the best possible position to fight the virus should you catch it. 🧠BE MINDFUL- Try any one of these Mindfulness Tips to give your immune system a boost! Take a walk outside every day at the same time. Morning yoga. Daily gratitude journal. Read one chapter of a book. Tidy up your space. Create something…anything! Reflect on what makes you uniquely you & makes you feel light.
🍭EAT LESS SUGAR- Never before has there been a better time for a sugar and junk food detox! A reasonable start is to “AIM FOR 100”, with a goal of consuming no more than 100 grams of carb per day to optimize your immune function.
💡ALIGN ANXIETY- Here are a few actionable recommendations toncorporate to keep anxiety from becoming panic. Digital Detox- Schedule 2️⃣✖️a day that you are going to check the news & consume media for no more than five minutes each time. Get Plenty of Rest-Prioritize getting quality sleep, at least 7 hours. Breathe-Engaging in simple, 5-minute deep breathing sessions three times a day.
